Donation

Charity literally means – the act of giving. In all religions, giving alms to a character is considered to be the ultimate duty. The great glory of charity has been mentioned in Hinduism. In modern context, charity means giving something to someone in need.

Charity Establishing the right of another by terminating one’s right over an object is charity. At the same time, it is necessary that there should not be any exchange in exchange for the item given in the donation. The fulfillment of this donation is stated only when the right of the recipient over the object given in the donation is established. Suppose an item is donated, but if the item is destroyed before the recipient has the right to it, then it cannot be called a donation. In such a situation, although the giver does not feel convinced, the giver cannot receive the fruits of the donation.

Satvik, Rajas and Tamas, from these distinctions, charity is said to be of three types. The charity that is given in a holy place and at the best time to a person who has not done any kind of favor to the giver is a sattvic charity. The donation which is given in return for some kind of favor done to oneself or out of aspiration of some fruit or out of compulsion is called Rajas donation. The donation which is given to an ignorant and unworthy person without hospitality in an unholy place and at an inappropriate time is called tamas donation.

From these physical, verbal and mental distinctions, three distinctions of re-donation have been counted. The gold, silver, etc. that are given with determination are physical donations. Barley Abhay Dan is given when a frightened person comes near you, it is a verbal donation. The offering of chanting and meditation is called mental charity.

The person to whom the donation is given is called the recipient of the donation. An ascetic, one who knows the Vedas and the scriptures and conducts himself according to the path taught in the scriptures is the best recipient of charity. Here is the first place of the master. After this, eligibility is considered in proportion to knowledge, merit and age. In addition, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law are also the best recipients of charity. The charity given to a Brahmin is said to be sixfold, the Kshatriya to be tripled, the Vaishya to be doubled and the Shudra to be given the common fruit. The above eligibility has been calculated for the purpose of special donation. Apart from this, if there is a need to donate food and clothing, then there is no need to see the above eligibility. Ad hoc bhubhukshita and being naked is said to be sufficient eligibility.

In our country of India, food donation and clothing donation are called the best donations! And in its Kukas Dham temple, this Indian tradition has been kept alive and the food field is also run here!
